About half the work Prodigy completes is commercial — production and spec homes, contractor work, and property accounts across West Tennessee and North Mississippi. If you're vetting a plumbing sub for a list, this is that page.
Prodigy Plumbing has run out of Brighton since 2019, started by an owner with more than 13 years in the trade. We hold Tennessee contractor license #77023 — BC-13, CMC-A, CMC-C, MU-A, and MU-C classifications — and Mississippi license #27290-SC. Both are current and both are public record.
That second license is the part most builders care about. Lots on the Tennessee side and lots in DeSoto County run under the same sub, the same scheduling, and the same invoice — no second plumbing contractor to source and vet for the state line.
Commercial isn't something we picked up on the side. Roughly half of everything we complete falls on that side of the book, and a large share is production and spec homebuilding — repeat lots for the same builders, month after month, several of those relationships running years. The rest is contractor and property work: remodels, tenant turns, service on buildings someone else manages, and septic on lots that never got sewer.
Scheduling and job records run through Jobber. A superintendent gets a scheduled window, a crew assigned to it, and a written record of what was done at which address.
New construction plumbing
Underground, rough-in, top-out, and trim-out on single lots or multi-lot runs. We schedule against your build calendar and hold the sequence the trades behind us depend on.
Excavation & underground
Water and sewer laterals, tie-ins, service trenching, and repairs on damaged underground. Machine and operator come from us — no third sub to coordinate.
Septic installation & repair
Installation and repair for lots outside sewer service, which is a lot of ground in Tipton County. Same crew that runs the interior plumbing.
HVAC install & service
Full mechanical installation on new builds, plus service and changeouts on existing buildings. Plumbing and HVAC under the same licenses and the same contact.
Remodel & tenant improvement
Repipes, fixture and drain relocation, water heater swaps, and mechanical changes in occupied or vacant space. We plan around your access window.
Service on managed property
Drains, leaks, water heaters, and no-heat or no-cool calls across a portfolio. Job history stays documented per address, so the next tech isn't starting from zero.
Working together
How a builder account runs
You get one point of contact, not a rotating call queue. Scope, schedule changes, added lots, and inspection timing go through the same place.
We schedule off your calendar. Tell us when the slab pours or the framer clears out, we work back from that and confirm the window in writing — and if something slips on our end, you hear it from us before it costs you a day.
Every visit is documented: what was installed, what was tested, which address, which date. When a question comes up months later, there's a record to pull instead of a memory to argue with.

Licensed in two states, working one metro
Brighton is home base and Tipton County is home ground: Brighton, Atoka, Munford, Covington, Drummonds. From there we work Millington, Arlington, Bartlett, Lakeland, Memphis, Collierville, and Germantown.
In Mississippi, license #27290-SC covers Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, and Hernando. Builders running subdivisions on both sides of the line don't need two subs, two sets of paperwork, or two scheduling conversations.
We're a local outfit, not a national mechanical contractor. If a scope is outside what we can staff, you'll hear it on the first call instead of at rough-in.

Questions builders actually ask
Are you licensed and insured for commercial work?
Yes. Tennessee contractor license #77023 covering BC-13, CMC-A, CMC-C, MU-A, and MU-C, plus Mississippi license #27290-SC. Every technician is licensed, insured, and background-checked. Certificates and a W-9 go out on request.
Do you work in Mississippi as well as Tennessee?
Yes, and it's a real differentiator. Southaven, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, and Hernando run under the same company as Brighton, Atoka, Arlington, and Bartlett — one sub, one contact, both sides of the line.
Can you handle multiple lots at once?
Multi-lot work is most of what we do on the commercial side — repeat lots for the same builders, sequenced against a construction calendar. How many we can carry in a given window depends on what's already booked, and you'll get a straight answer before anything is committed.
Do we need a separate sub for excavation, septic, or HVAC?
Not with us. Excavation of any type, septic installation and repair, HVAC, and generator installation are in-house. On an unsewered lot that's one contractor for the underground, the septic, and the interior plumbing instead of three.
